Problems – long arm spider
Due to design reasons the long-arm spider is not suited for a long running period
in the machine (e.g. sensitivity of the plastic bevel gears in the arms).
Less precision in the tolerance of the suction grooves to each other caused by the old design.
Advantages – short arm spider
The short arm spider is designed in a way that the circulation forces are absorbed much better
by the drive elements. This guarantees a slow wear/long lifetime.The suction grooves can be
set to each other in a much more precise way leading to a higher operational safety.
With the 8-arm spider, a larger garniture range is covered.
